Critique of my autobiography project

I think that my autobiography deserves an A-. Considering it was my first time using final cut I thought I did pretty well. I incorporated video, interviews, photos and narration. I feel that my project improved a lot as I did more drafts. I started with only a slide show of pictures. By the end I had decent narration and the pictures zoomed in and out. In the middle I had interviews of my parents and sisters. I think this was a good way to get to know me. Most of the other students said that their favorite part of the video was the end when my their was footage of my family. I agree that this was a good part because it wasn't scripted. Overall I thought my project incorporated lots of new skills I learned using Final Cut. I learned how to add music, record narration. zoom in and out of pictures, add transitions, cut video footage, and a lot more.

Nathan's autobiography

Nathan's autobiography was pretty good. Although it was short it seemed like he talked about what was important to him. I think he should have added narration.

Dina's autobiography

Dina's autobiography was very interesting. She did a good job of talking about a lot of parts of her life in such a short time. I liked how the music changed depending on the mood. Also I think it was interesting how she talked about the history of her country. She did a good job by using maps and pictures. Since the issues in her country are important to her I think it is a memorable part of her video.

Anthony Smart's autobiography project

Anthony's project was good. He used good background music and incorporated video and photos well. I think he should have added a narration.

Keith's autobiography project

Keith's project was very good. I like how he incorporated parts of the play Harvey into his video. Also I liked how he interviewed different friends and classmates. It gives the viewer an idea of his everyday life.

Who are Hammas?
It is the largest Palestinian militant Islamist organization. The group was formed in 1987 at the beginning of the first Palestinian uprising against Israels occupation in the West bank and Gaza. The short term goal is to try Israeli forces out of occupied territories. Their long term goal is to make an Islamic state on all of historic Palestine. They seek Israels destruction.

Who are Fatah?
It was founded by Yasser Arafat in the 1950s to promote the armed struggle to liberate all Palestine from Israeli control. They led efforts toward a two stated solution.

Why is Israel attacking Gaza in the first place?

The problems come from Jewish and Arab ideas for the region. The Jewish National Movement in 1897. They wanted a Jewish nation state in Palestine. The World Zionist Organization and the Jewish National Fund encouraged immigration and funded purchase of land. The problems have continued into the present.

Dan Sher's autobiography

I thought his project was good. I liked the music, especially in the beginning and how it went with the title. I also liked how the interview was black and white. This made it different and unique. The narration was good. I think it should have been longer.

My autobiography

After watching my autobiography project I thought it was pretty good considering it was my first time using final cut. There were a few things I would change. I think I would redo my narration and maybe have more narration. I might change the ending too. I think it was kind of abrupt.

Harison Ford's autobiography

I thought his autobiography was very good. I liked the music, it went well with the video. I also liked how he integrated different video footage.

Camila Carvalho autobiography

Camila's autobiography was good. I liked how she used music through out the whole video. Also she did a good job of making pictures correspond with what she was saying. I thought it was cool how she had clips of herself being interviewed.

Anthony Alberico

Anthony's autobiography project was really good. I liked the beginning and how it started off like a real biography on TV. I thought he incorporated home videos well. Some of the interviews were too dark. Overall the video looked very professional.

Christmas break

On Christmas I stayed at my house in the morning and went to my Nana's house in the afternoon. The Saturday after Christmas was my sisters birthday party. She had it at the Double tree hotel. It was a lot of fun. Monday was my sisters birthday so we went out to dinner and bowling. Also over the break I went ice skating at frog pond in Boston. Also I went tubing at Nashoba. On Saturday I had a track meet at Reggie Lewis, a big indoor track in Boston. It was cool to run there but it was boring waiting around the whole day.
